A demonstrator throws a Molotov cocktail toward Ukrainian police forces located on the other side of burning vehicles and tires in the center of Kyiv on Hrushevsky Street. The violence began after demonstrators marched towards parliament from Independence Square several days after draconian laws were passed by the ruling Party of Regions in parliament. They encountered police forces who blocked their path and the violence ensued from there. Hundreds were wounded in the violence over several days and several demonstrators were killed.
